Hungary has EUR 775 mln c/a deficit in Q2

Hungary had a EUR 775 million current-account deficit in the second quarter, quarterly data released by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) on Monday show.

Hungary had a EUR 846 mln trade surplus, with a EUR 529 mln deficit in trade of goods and a EUR 1.375 billion surplus in trade of services.

Foreign investors repatriated EUR 1.792 bln of profits in Q2, including EUR 1.563 bln from direct investments and EUR 218 mln from portfolio investments.

Capital transfers from the European Union came to EUR 400 mln for the quarter.
