ÁKK Adds 6-Month Tenor to T-Bills

Debt

The Government Debt Management Agency (ÁKK) on Wednesday said it decided to introduce a six-month discount Treasury bill, in addition to the existing 3- and 12-month tenors, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

ÁKK noted that demand at 12-month T-bill auctions has been "volatile" recently and said it expects "more stable demand" for the new 6-month tenor.

The agency will hold the first 6-month T-bill auction on September 28. The bills will be auctioned weekly, on Wednesdays.
