MVM Renewables Unit Launches Construction of HUF 9.5 bln Solar Park

MVM Zöld Generáció, the renewables unit of state-owned energy company MVM, launched the construction of a HUF 9.5 billion, 24 MW solar park in Szeged (163 km southeast of Budapest) on Wednesday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

MVM Zöld Generáció won HUF 3.6bn in European Union and state funding for the park which will power over 12,000 homes, MVM group advisor Szabolcs Molnár said.

The park will start commercial operation in the summer of 2023.

MVM Zöld Generáció operates over 100 solar parks and seven wind farms in Hungary.
