Hungary's National Association of Grain Growers (GOSZ) has cut its estimate for this year's wheat crop by about half a million tonnes to 4-4.5 mln tonnes amid a hot spell, business daily Világgazdaság said.

GOSZ chairman Tamás Petőházi told the paper about one-third of the wheat crop has been harvested.

Last year, Hungarian farmers harvested a little more than 5 million tonnes of wheat.
