Farmgate Prices Climb 50% in November

Farmgate prices in Hungary rose 49.7% year-on-year in November, slowing from a 58.9% increase in the previous month, data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) show, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Crop prices climbed 43.7%, as grain prices jumped 55.8% and industrial crop prices rose 23.6%. Vegetable prices increased 44%, while fruit prices increased 38%.

The price of livestock and animal products climbed 64.2%, as prices for live animals jumped 63.8% and animal products prices grew 65%.
