Farmgate Price Rise Continues to Decelerate in January

Farmgate prices in Hungary rose 31.6% year-on-year in January, slowing for the fourth month in a row, data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) show.

Crop prices climbed 22.7%, as grain prices jumped 31% and industrial crop prices rose 1.1%.

Vegetable prices increased 38.6%, while fruit prices climbed 10.1%.

The price of livestock and animal products climbed 53.7%, as prices for live animals rose 54.4% and animal product prices grew 52.5%.
