Agribusinesses, banks create assoc to support maize farmers

A number of businesses in the agriculture and financial sectors have established an association to support local maize farmers, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
The association, dubbed Maize Circle, said it aims to broaden maize farmers' scope of knowledge, offering them a stream of grain market news with expert commentary. It will also organize professional programs and advocate for local farmers.
The Maize Circle noted that Hungary is one of the European Union's biggest exporters of maize.
The Maize Circle's founding members are AgriDron, AGRO.bio Hungary, Bugaci Aranykalász, Erste Bank, Glia, Groupama Biztosító, Huminisz, Hungrana and OTP Bank.
