Sziget Festival Announces Partnership With Revolut

Fintech

Sziget, one of the biggest music and cultural festivals in Europe (hosting over 400,000 participants each year), announced a partnership with Revolut, a global financial player with over 35 million customers worldwide and more than 1 million in Hungary.

Revolut will support the 30th edition of the festival in Budapest (August 7-12, 2024) with its high performance payments processing technology and a suite of special deals and activations for the participants.

The revamped Sziget 2023 edition (6 days, 60 stages, 1,000 shows) made a big impression on visitors (who represented over 100 nationalities). This resulted in high demand for the next year's festival. To celebrate the new partnership, Revolut and Sziget decided to do something special.

On Black Friday weekend (November 24-26, 2023) fans of Sziget festival will get one more chance to buy 2024 tickets at the best possible price. The Revolut Black Friday Flash Sale will be available exclusively to 35 million Revolut current and new customers. Additionally, all new Revolut customers checking out with Revolut Pay will get an additional EUR 20 cashback.

"We experience a massive interest in next year's Sziget edition. We believe it is a good reflection of many changes we have made this year and will continue to add next year. To meet the high demand and provide top-class payment processing for our fans in Hungary and all over the world, we need trusted solutions. I’m excited to present on our stage our new financial technology partner, Revolut," said Tamás Kádár, the main organizer of Sziget.

“In the initial two Early Bird ticket campaigns to date, over 20,000 Sziget 2024 tickets have already been sold. We had not planned to issue more Early Bird tickets at the reduced price, but the interest and public demand is so great that, as part of our partnership with Revolut, we decided to run a special promotion, which Revolut users can take advantage of," added Kádár.

"Revolut's mission is to bring the potential of the borderless economy to everyone. With our high performance proprietary technology and solutions such as Revolut Pay we are able to meet high volume payment needs of ticketing platforms (biggest events like Sziget Festival in Hungary), e-commerce services (like online store of A1 Hrvatska Telecom in Croatia) or national charity actions (The RTÉ Toy Show Appeal in Ireland). We are proud to support the brands and causes that people love. Sziget Festival is definitely one of them and we are thrilled to announce this new partnership," said Antoine le Nel, vice president growth & partner at Revolut.

“The community of Revolut users in Hungary has just surpassed 1 million and keeps growing fast. In the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region over 10 million people already use Revolut. Globally we connect over 35 million customers with their families, friends and their favorite brands. Sziget is a true superstar among European music festivals. One of the biggest, gathering over 400,000 visitors, a great meeting point for people from around the world. We would be delighted to help them smoothly buy the tickets, book their stays and flights, exchange their currencies, track their spending, and manage their festival budget with our innovative in-app features that we are famous for," said Tamás Léder, country manager Hungary at Revolut.

In the Revolut Black Friday Flash Sale one can buy Sziget tickets at Early Bird prices (EUR 269 for Full Festival Pass). This time the promotion is exclusively available to Revolut users and new Revolut members will also receive a EUR 20 cashback. Stay tuned as this is just the beginning of a series of special promotions and perks fans will get access to during the season. The promotion T&Cs and further details can be found at: www.sziget.hu.
