Hiventures Plows HUF 24 bln Into Promising Firms in 2022

Hiventures invested HUF 24 billion in domestic companies last year, the venture capital arm of the Hungarian Development Bank (MFB) said on Tuesday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Hiventures invested HUF 17 bln in SMEs and large companies, and HUF 7 bln in startups.

Hiventures has invested HUF 84b nl in businesses since its launch early in 2017. At the end of last year, it had 446 startups and 32 more mature businesses in its portfolio.

Those companies had combined revenue of close to HUF 435 bln last year, with exports accounting for 44%. The headcount at the companies stood at 3,615 at year-end.
