Access4you, which certifies building accessibility for people with disabilities, has received a HUF 365 million injection from Hiventures, the venture capital arm of the Hungarian Development Bank (MFB), to support its international expansion, the Hungarian startup said on Tuesday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Access4you and its accredited partners weigh close to a thousand factors when conducting certification audits, taking into account accessibility for people with mobility, vision, hearing, or cognitive disabilities, wheelchair users, the elderly, and those with baby carriages and service dogs.

So far, over 1,000 buildings have been certified by Access4you and the startup's database has around 20,000 visitors a year. Access4you has accredited partners in Hungary, Czechia, and Romania, and it is in talks with potential partners in the United States and Canada.

By 2028, Access4you aims to have 10,000 buildings in 20 countries in its database.
