A Well-certified office increases employee satisfaction by 30%, mental health by 10%, and productivity by 10%, according to a study published in the Journal of Building and Environment.

In Hungary, there are currently five office buildings that are internationally Well certified, including Corvin 5, where Icon Real Estate Management experts provide property and facility management services.

"Servicing a high-end property, especially a Well-certified property, is a major professional challenge from both the property management and facility management side, as it requires outstanding expertise and continuous attention. The requirements of the Well certificate do not have to be fulfilled only once, the certification body checks the fulfillment of the criteria from time to time," said Gábor Nagy, managing director of Icon Real Estate Management.

The Well Standard is an international rating system developed in the United States to help create healthy and inspiring interiors. It takes into account the physical environment and the potential of the community that uses it, and sets out mandatory and recommended actions in 10 categories.

The recently published study found that in Well-certified office buildings, employees' overall satisfaction increased by nearly 30%, their sense of well-being increased by 26%, mental health by 10%, and physical health by 2%, and there was also a considerable increase in average productivity. The study also noted that workers in these types of buildings are more energetic, more motivated to work, and more confident that their workplace is conducive to being healthy.

"Among other things, Corvin 5 will have better than average air quality thanks to the outstanding quality of its ventilation system. The high quality of the drinking water used in the building, which is regularly monitored, the implementation of accessibility standards that are much stricter than those in the country, and the proximity to nature are the unique features that have helped the property to achieve Well certification," said Zsolt Kákosy director of property management at Icon.

"From the internal garden, solar panels, electric car chargers, and a shower for those who cycle to work, the office complex offers tenants a range of facilities to create an efficient work-life balance for their employees," he noted.
