Price of Resale Flat in Capital Climbs to HUF 933,000/sqm

The average price of a resale flat in Budapest rose 12% year-on-year to HUF 933,000 per square meter in the first quarter, data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) show.

The average price of a new flat in the capital climbed 14pc to HUF 1,222,000/sqm during the period.

In the west of Hungary, the average price of a resale flat stood HUF 541,000/sqm, while the average price for a resale detached home was HUF 226,000/sqm.

In the north of the country, the average resale detached home price was just HUF 107,000/sqm.
