The housing market started the year strongly after last year's stagnation, according to the analysis of ingtalan.com, which describes the development of demand typical of December and the first days of January.
The real estate advertising portal highlighted that in December, demand was 15% higher than a year earlier, and in the first days of January, the number of inquiries for apartments and houses for sale had increased by 22% compared to a year earlier.
The outstanding demand is not surprising; many potential buyers were waiting for the new or expanded housing subsidy schemes available from January, indicated László Balogh, the leading economic expert of ingtalan.com.
