Home price growth in Hungary slows to around 3%

Home prices in Hungary rose 3.2% year-on-year in Q1-Q3, data compiled by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) show.

Prices rose at a pace well under the 17% increase in 2019.

New home prices climbed 6.2% year-on-year in Q1-Q3, while resale home prices rose 2.4%.

The price of a new home averaged HUF 525,000 per square meter in the third quarter. In the capital, the average price was HUF 751,000 per square meter.

The average price for resale homes stood at HUF 261,000 per square meter country-wide and at HUF 641,000 in Budapest.
