Around 72,000 Hungarian households have firm plans to purchase or build a home in the coming twelve months, a quarterly survey by economic research company GKI and building materials maker Masterplast shows, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

The survey, conducted in March, shows another 201,000 households will "probably" buy or build a home in the coming year.

Home sales in Hungary were over 131,000 last year, according to an estimate by real estate broker Duna House.
