Romania Jobless Rate Unchanged in November

Romania's unemployment rate stood at 5.4% in November, the same rate recorded a month earlier, the Bucharest-based National Institute of Statistics (INS) said on Tuesday, quoting provisional data.

The number of unemployed persons fell by 4.300 from a month earlier to 442.100. The jobless rate among women was 4.9% versus 5.8% among men.

The unemployment rate among adults aged between 25 and 74 was estimated at 4.4%.

Adults aged 25 to 74 who were jobless in November accounted for 77.2% of all unemployed people.

Unemployment among people aged 15 to 24 remained high, at 21.1%. In November 2022, the unemployment rate stood at 5.7%.
