Poland's registered unemployment rate totaled 5% in August, remaining unchanged from July, according to an estimate by the Ministry of Family and Social Policy, the state-owned Polish Press Agency reported.

"It's the lowest registered unemployment rate since August 1990", officials wrote on the X platform, formerly known as Twitter as quoted by PAP.

Regionally, the registered jobless rate varied from 2.9% in the western Wielkopolskie region to 8.5% in the southeastern Podkarpackie province, according to officials.
