Close to 93,000 Foreign Nationals Employed in Hungary

About 92,700 foreign nationals were employed in Hungary in 2023, data compiled by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) show.

The number rose by 11,700 from 2022, boosted by workers from countries outside of the European Union.

Ukrainians accounted for the largest number of foreign workers in Hungary (22,800), followed by nationals from neighboring Slovakia (7,600) and Romania (7,200).

The number of workers from the Philippines was close to 6,300, climbing by a marked 5,100 from the previous year.

The number of Chinese nationals employed in Hungary reached 5,900.

There were 5,400 Vietnamese employed in Hungary, 2,200 more than in the previous year.
