Wizz Air launching new flights from Italy
From July, Wizz Air will launch flights on 19 new routes to 19 destinations from Italy, making it the largest route expansion in its history, according to profitline.hu.
The development will create more than 100 jobs and indirectly create more than 1,500 others, the report said. It added that Wizz Air is still a believer in network development and will double its presence in Italy over the next three years.
In the 17 years since the low-cost carrier launched its first flight, the airline has opened four bases and operates 25 flights in Italy, serving more than 40 million passengers. The expansion will double the number of seats across almost four million Wizz Air flights a year in Italy.
