Half a million people had traveled on the ferries of Balatoni Hajózási Zrt. (BAHART) between Szántód and Tihany by mid-July.

According to current data, one million are expected to have used the ferries on Lake Balaton by mid-August, writes business daily Világgazdaság.

In the three summer months, 70-75% of the annual turnover of the ferries on Lake Balaton is realized.

The four ferries operating continuously on the busiest weekends transport up to 20,000 passengers a day from one shore to another, which is the same as the total monthly traffic in December and January.
