More than half of the Hungarian population already owns a bicycle or a scooter, according to OTP Mobil, writes the business daily Világgazdaság.

A survey revealed that in the past four years, people have been spending more on these means of transport and using them.

Some 56% of the Hungarian population owns a bicycle, and more people use them in their everyday life.

According to the survey, a third of owners cycle regularly in their free time, and 20% use their bicycles to go to work.

For Hungarian cyclists, the most important thing is the condition of the bike, followed only by compliance with the Hungarian Highway Code (Kresz).
