The Romanian unit of Hungarian oil and gas company MOL on Thursday announced the start of construction of six motorway gas stations, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

MOL's Romanian unit was awarded seven concessions for 14 petrol stations on the A1 and A2 motorways early in 2021.

The stations will cost around EUR 28 million or EUR 2 mln apiece. The first one could open in H2 2022.

MOL's Romanian unit operates 245 gas stations in the country.
