Romania Industrial Output Falls on Year in January

Romania's industrial production decreased by an adjusted 6.1% year-on-year in January, data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS) showed on Tuesday.

On a non-adjusted comparison basis, industrial output fell by an annual 5.4% in January, according to the Bucharest-based institute.

On year, manufacturing decreased 4.6%, while production of energy fell by 13.8%.

On the other hand, production of mining grew by 0.8%. On a monthly comparison basis, industrial production rose 2% in January, led by the increased output in the manufacturing sector.
