Moldova's Nov Industrial Output Drops on Year, but Jumps on Month

Industrial production in Moldova shrank 6.5% year-on-year in November, following a downwardly revised 13.7% drop in the previous month, and marking the third consecutive months of falls, Trading Economics reported citing data from the country's Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

Production declined in all sectors.

Output for mining and quarrying fell 29.8%, while production of electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning supply decreased by 18.5%.

Additionally, manufacturing went down 3.3%.

On a monthly comparison basis, industrial output jumped by 16.5%, the most since March 2022, after an upwardly revised 11% gain in the previous month.
