Lithuania Industrial Output Jumps in February
Industrial production in Lithuania rose 3.8% year-on-year in February, accelerating from a downwardly revised 0.4% rise in the previous month, data from the Vilnius-based Statistics Lithuania (LS) on Monday show.
It was the sharpest growth since June 2023, as output sharply rebounded for mining & quarrying (39.7% vs -16% in January) and increased for manufacturing (5.1% vs 1.4%).
Moreover, output recovered for water supply, sewerages, waste management & remediation activities (2.6% vs -0.9%).
Meanwhile, output continued to fall for electricity, gas, steam & air-conditioning supply (-9.2% vs -6.7%).
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production tumbled 3% in February, from a 3.8% gain in the previous month.
