Estonia Industrial Output Drops in February
Estonia’s industrial production dropped 5.7% year-on-year in February, marking the 18th consecutive month of contraction, although easing from a downwardly revised 7.3% fall in the previous month, data from the Tallinn-based Statistics Estonia (SE) on Monday show.
Production declined at a lesser extent for manufacturing (-7% vs -10.4% in January), whereas output rebounded sharply for mining & quarrying (19.3% vs -0.6%).
Meanwhile, production slowed significantly for electricity, gas, steam, & air conditioning supply (2.6% vs 15%).
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production rose 1% in February, recovering from a downwardly revised 5.4% decline in the prior month.
