Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary to Raise Wages

Automotive

Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary will raise wages by 8% from April 1 and by another 5% from April 1, 2025, a PR agent for the car maker's plant in Kecskemét said on Thursday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary's management took the decision after failing to reach an agreement on remuneration with unions at a series of talks that lasted more than five months.

Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary will pay each of its employees a little more than HUF 1 million as a profit-sharing bonus in the coming week.

Over 4,500 people work at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Kecskemét.
