Audi Inaugurates Tool Plant Expansion in Hungary

Audi Hungaria inaugurated a HUF 3.8 billion expansion of its tool plant in Győr on Tuesday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto noted that the government supported the investment with HUF 1.2 billion. The project added 6,300 sqm at the plant and boosted capacity for exclusive serial production by 30%, he added.

Body elements for a number of Audi, Lamborghini, and Bentley models will be made at the plant.

Audi Hungaria chairman Alfons Dintner said the expansion brings total area at the tool plant to 58,300 sqm.

Around 700 people work at the tool plant.
