Summer bookings up 6% on Szallas.hu
The number of bookings on Szallas.hu rose 6% this summer from a year earlier and was up 7% from summer 2019, the bookings site said, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
Gross turnover mediated by Szallas.hu expanded by 20% from a year earlier and grew 25% from the summer season of 2019. The average booking value was 15% higher than last year. This was the highest at Lake Balaton, with an average booking value of HUF 99,000. In and around the capital, the average booking value was HUF 58,000.
Data from Szallas.hu show accommodation for one person per one night was 13.4% more expensive on average compared to last year, nationwide, PR manager Beatrix Trepess said.
While the area of Lake Balaton is the most popular destination in the summer, North Hungary takes the lead in the fall season, Szallas.hu said.
