In the first half of November, the number of guest nights spent in domestic accommodation increased by nearly 15% compared to last year, and occupancy also increased, according to data from the National Tourist Information Center (Ntak), writes profitline.hu.

Keeping the momentum, the data testifies to further growth in the rest of the year as well; the level of pre-bookings for the last two months of the year is already higher than at this time a year ago.

So far, the number of pre-bookings for November and December is 4.5% and 3.6% higher than 12 months ago. Accommodations registered more than four million guest nights with Ntak compared to last year's 3.9 million.

Travelers will spend the majority of these in the countryside, but the number of pre-booked guest nights in Budapest is also a quarter more than in the same period of 2022.
