Espresso is the most popular coffee in Hungary; it is mainly consumed in the morning, while it is primarily latte in the afternoon, writes profitline.hu.

In a joint survey by Costa Coffee and GKI Digital, more than 2,700 people were asked about their daily habits, about 2,000 of whom consider themselves regular coffee drinkers.

One in two respondents (53%) regularly drinks espresso, with the next most popular types of coffee being latte (31%) and cappuccino (30%). Men mostly drink the simplest (although many also say the tastiest) coffee, espresso: 64% said they consume it regularly, while most women prefer some form of milk-based coffee.

According to the research, there are also differences in the age group. In the 18-29 age group, milk drinks are the most popular, with cappuccino (47%) and caffe latte (46%) consumed at a much higher rate than the overall average of 30-31%.
