The National Bank of Hungary (MNB) will open the Hungarian Money Museum and Visitor Center in the landmark Postal Palace on Széll Kálmán Square on the March 15 national holiday next year, the central bank said on Friday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

With the establishment of "Europe's most spectacular money museum", MNB said it aims to make the development of financial culture accessible to all segments of society, children and adults alike.

The interactive museum will showcase 58 installations, ranging from banknote design to gold-bar lifting, with almost 2,000 objects on display.

The museum's website has already launched at penzmuzeum.hu
