Pápai Hús Products Recognized at Value and Quality Competition

Awards

This year, the Esterházy ham and Papa de Vega's natural sandwich topping from Pápai Hús both received the Value and Quality Grand Prize (Érték és Minőség Nagydíj).

The company's managers received the recognition on September 7 at the Parliament.

“Satisfied consumers are the most important thing for our company, which is based on trust. In addition to offering them premium quality products, we also want to support the quality of our products with professional recognition. This is exactly why winning the Value and Quality Grand Prize is such a joy for our company, since the recognition of our work is also feedback for our consumers that when they put Pápai Hús products in their baskets, they made the right choice,” says Péter Szappanos, managing director of Pápai Hús.

A statement from the company, which is celebrating its 110th anniversary, describes that “[they] believe in combining tradition and innovation, as these are the defining elements in shaping their product portfolio and production technology. In addition to preserving traditions and domestic tastes, special attention is paid to continuous development and thus to following current consumer trends.”

Part of the latter is that they are also present on the market with vegan products, and in this segment, “portfolio development since 2020 often proves to be a difficult task, but the company firmly believes in long-term success.”

The company deems it “a special merit that the Papa de Vega sliced vegan sandwich topping, in addition to the ÉMI Grand Prize, also earned the special prize of Hajnal Húskombinát, the Hajnal László Memorial Prize.”

The Value and Quality Grand Prix is described as a “standard and guide in economic life”, as only brands and manufacturers that produce high and reliable quality can win the award. Those who have earned the certification mark are considered outstanding both on the domestic and world market levels and are significant participants in the economic cycle.
