Contemporary Art 2011-2012
For this volume, we have asked each of 20 opinion-leading curators and institution heads specialising in Hungarian contemporary art to select the work of art from last year’s offerings that they consider to be the most significant. Each section is a presentation of one of the specialists, the selected piece of art and the creating artist. Last year’s most outstanding pieces, the “best of” in Hungarian contemporary art are reviewed and introduced in analogy to popular top lists. The publication also offers a professional yet comprehensive overview of current trends, players and their most exciting works, and represents an annual cross section and summary of contemporary Hungarian fine arts.
