Thousands protest corruption around Hungary
Thousands marched against government corruption yesterday, in Budapest and more than 100 places around the country, in a day of demonstrations organized by opposition party Együtt, which translates as “Together”, according to reports.
Speakers from within the party, and those friendly to it, described a litany of concerns about the current government.
Demonstrators also appeared in front of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s house in Felcsút with signs saying “How much has Fidesz stolen from you?” (pictured). Együtt wrote on its webpage, that their activists demonstrated against corruption at the “stadium built in the backyard” of the prime minister’s house.
