PM: Full employment and care for Hungary

History

“The Hungarian people acknowledged our work in yesterday’s election” Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said in his speech today before the Parliament. He promised to take care of those voters who did not vote for his governing party, Fidesz, and urged a new policy of keeping families in the center.

According to Orbán, this victory is not only the triumph of governing party Fidesz and its ally KDNP, but it is also the triumph of the whole country. He declared the success to be the result of great unity, which Hungarians “learnt from Adeanuer and DeGaull”.

Orbán said, that the government’s main objective is to bring “full employment” to Hungary. He said the fact that 4 million people currently work and pay taxes, and 57,000 Roma families just started working for the first time, reveal that people finally learnt that “a better life cannot be built on speculation and debts.”

He closed his speech by sending a message to all the voters who decided not to support him and his party, saying: “Those who did not vote for us, well, they can count on us too.”
