More unions join Monday's single-lane protest

Another seven unions have joined the Monday protest against government measures unfavorable for labourers, LIGA union association leader István Gaskó said yesterday, raising the number of protesting unions to 13.

On December 11, six unions scheduled protest with a single-lane demonstration on roads around the country between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Monday, December 15.

The unions are urging the government to withdraw plans on phasing out early retirement and lower the tax on vouchers, while also seeking changes to the labour act to ease restrictions on strikes, he added.
