Hungary, Jordan cooperation can thrive, says PM

Cooperation between Hungary and Jordan is set to thrive, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said after meeting his counterpart Abullah Ensour in Amman on Monday. When Jordan chooses to invest in Hungary it is investing in the economically promising Central European region, which in future will be the engine of growth in the European Union, Orbán told a press conference. Representatives of the two countries' governments signed economic, education and energy agreements. Orbán said Hungary sees good investment opportunities in Jordan, where its experience of the business climate there is positive. Hungary is strong in water management and energy, including nuclear energy, he said. The prime minister told MTI that although Hungary was not a nuclear power it had strong technology and engineers, which it could offer to Jordan as part of a partnership. Ensour noted cooperation in agriculture and tourism as important areas.
