Büki insists on country-wide blockade

Apparently driven by yesterday’s two successful mini blockades that he organized, Együtt MP Zoltán Büki (pictured) said on the event’s official Facebook page that he is now committed to holding further mini blockades until he receives approval for a country-wide demonstration.

“This was just the beginning” Büki wrote on the Facebook page adding that “there will be more action, and everyone can be sure that the country-wide blockade will not be canceled, we are just waiting for Strasbourg’s ruling”.

Büki had originally organized a country-wide road blockade scheduled for Sunday, against the recently introduced vignette-based road toll system, but the police rejected his application numerous times.

The Facebook for the event has amassed more than 7,700 supporters, who are expected to appear at the country-wide blockade, should such an event take place.

SUPPORT THE BUDAPEST BUSINESS JOURNAL

Producing journalism that is worthy of the name is a costly business. For 27 years, the publishers, editors and reporters of the Budapest Business Journal have striven to bring you business news that works, information that you can trust, that is factual, accurate and presented without fear or favor.
Newspaper organizations across the globe have struggled to find a business model that allows them to continue to excel, without compromising their ability to perform. Most recently, some have experimented with the idea of involving their most important stakeholders, their readers.
We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
