FGSZ confirms gas export to Ukraine

Energy Trade

FGSZ, Hungary's gas transmission system operator, confirmed today that gas exports to Ukraine have resumed and approximately 2.6 million cubic meters of gas were delivered to Ukraine on Saturday, FGSZ stated on its website.

Earlier, Ukraine's TSO, Ukrtransgaz, said the deliveries had resumed. Last year, Ukraine imported a total of 600 million cubic meters of gas from Hungary, Ukrtransgaz noted.

FGSZ announced on September 25 it has indefinitely suspended gas supply to bordering Ukraine, saying that the gas was shut off for technical reasons. Naftogaz, the gas firm owned by the Ukrainian state, said the move was “unexpected and unexplained”.
