Tractor sales booming

MNB

Sales of tractors climbed 71% to over 3,200 in H1, compared to the same period last year. About 1,800 tractors were sold in the first half of 2013, according to data published by the Hungarian Leasing Association.

Sales were boosted by cheap credit granted to SMEs by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) through its Funding for Growth Scheme, the association says. The scheme allows SME’s to benefit from zero-per cent loans. The number of farmers applying to the Funding Growth Scheme launched by MNB has more than doubled since last year.
