RWE-EnBW and E.on units to supply electricity to MÁV railways

German RWE-EnBW-owned Magyar Áramszolgáltató, which is the trading unit of Elmű-Émász, and energy trader E.On Energiakereskedelmi are planning to jointly supply electricity to three units of Hungarian state-owned railways MÁV for HUF 2.5 bln, an announcement in an official procurement gazette revealed on Friday.

The winners of the tender, which were invited to supply a combined 100,000MWh of electricity for the three MÁV companies to operate their infrastructure, was made in December. The only other bidder was MVM Partner, the unit of state-owned energy group MVM.
