Russians top non-EU buyers of Hungarian real estate
Russians and Chinese are the top non-EU buyers of Hungarian real estate, mainly showing interest in residential developments, daily Magyar Nemzet said on Monday, citing data from the 2014 national statistics gathering program (OSAP).
Last year 1815 non-agricultural real estate properties were sold to foreigners. Russians were the largest group of buyers, numbering 612. Chinese were the second largest group, numbering 403. Some 236 Russians and 355 Chinese bought property in Budapest.
