New car registrations climb 14% in August

The number of new passenger car registrations in Hungary reached 4,766 in August, up 14.4% year-on-year, the Hungarian Association of Vehicle Importers (MGE) announced today, citing figures from Datahouse.

About 43,900 new cars were registered between January and August, 20.7% more than last year over the same period.

Registrations of light commercial vehicles rose 22.4% to 1,229 in August. The number of heavy commercial vehicle registrations came to 336 in August, up 26.3% from the same month last year.
