NAV : less audits, more unpaid taxes
Hungarian Tax and Customs Authority (NAV) is auditing fewer Hungarian companies but uncovering more unpaid taxes, Hungarian business daily Világgazdaság reported today.
In 2013 NAV carried out approximately 2,000 audits, far less than the 11,000 audits completed in 2007, but found out a total of HUF 20 mln tax money had failed to be paid. In 2007, audits had identified HUF 5.5mnl in tax dodging, data from NAV’s official website show.
