KSH: PPI down 0.3% y.o.y.

Industrial producer prices rose by 0.1% in September, compared to the previous month, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) reported today.

In a month-on-month comparison, domestic prices were up 0.3% and prices in the gas, electricity and steam supply sectors increased by 0.4%.

Export prices rose by 0.1% and did not change on avarage in manufacturing branches in September, compared to the previous month.

Domestic sales prices fell 2.3% and prices in manufacturing branches rose 1.4% in September, compared with a year ago.

In domestic sales, among the end-use groups of branches, prices rose by 0.7% in energy producer branches, fell by 0.3% in intermediate and capital goods producer branches and did not change in consumer goods producer branches compared to August. Year-on-year, prices fell by 3.7% in energy and intermediate producer branches, while prices saw a rise by 2.9% in capital and by 0.7% in consumer goods producer branches.
