KSH: Guest nights up 2.6% y.o.y. in July
Driven by local tourism, accommodation establishments in Hungary saw a 2.6% rise in guest nights in July, the Central Statistics Office’s (KSH) publication revealed today.
The number of guest nights spent by foreign visitors inched down 0.7% to 1,593,000, but the number spent by Hungarian guests increased 5.5% to 2,017,000.
The report also notes that gross revenues of accommodation establishments increased by 7.9% year-on-year in July. During July, the occupancy rate at hotels was 62.1%.
The number of tourists from Poland, Austria and Russia increased (by 11%, 1.4% and 1.9% respectively), while the decreases were seen in the number of nights spent by tourists from Germany (14%), Netherlands (20%) and the Czech Republic (0.6%).
