KSH: Gross industrial output up 6.1% in January
Today’s round of figures from the Central Statistics Office (KSH) shows that in January 2014 industrial gross output rose by 6.1% year-on-year, according to preliminary data.
The index adjusted by working days was equal to the non-adjusted value. The volume of industrial production in January – according to seasonally and working-day adjusted indices – was above the level of the previous month by 3.1%.
The current adjusted index of 103.1 represents a nice jump from holiday-heavy December’s mark of 98.2, while the unadjusted 106.1 is down slightly month-on-month from 106.8. Both figures for January 2014 represent higher figures than any seen since the first half of 2012.
