Insurersʼ profits up by just over 11%

Profits of Hungarian insurance companies rose 11.6% to HUF 30.7 bln last year, but were still just half pre-crisis levels, the head of the Hungarian Insurers Association (MABISZ) said at a conference on Wednesday, news agency MTI reported. 

Revenue from premiums rose 4.2% to HUF 834 bln, Anett Pandurics said at the insurance conference organized by Portfolio.hu. Market share of the five largest insurers dropped one percentage point to 58.5%, she added.
