Hungary, Serbia to cooperate on energy security
Following Russia's decision to scrap the South Stream pipeline project, Hungary and Serbia are planning to cooperate in an effort to boost energy security in the region, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said today, after talks with his Serbian counterpart Ivica Dacic in Belgrade. Further talks on the matter are scheduled for February in Budapest.
The Hungarian minister stressed Hungary's commitment to supporting Serbia's European integration, adding that Hungary will delegate its former permanent representative in Brussels, Gábor Iván, to the group in charge of talks on Serbia's EU accession.
